In 2016 The Hawaii Dental Association approved the formation of the Hawaii Dental Association Foundation (HDA Foundation). This organization will represent the charitable arm of the Hawaii Dental Association. Headed by Dr. Gary Yonemoto, the HDA Foundation will have charitable programs such as Give Kids a Smile Hawaii, Disaster Relief Aide, and Scholarships. The HDA Foundation will better able to grow and develop the already successful Give Kids a Smile Hawaii Program, in bringing awareness and treatment to the Keiki of Hawaii.
